The Steakhouse at Circus is known for its impeccable service and exquisite cuisine, and regularly throughout the year the staff of the restaurant pulls out all the stops and plans a truly decadent dinner to be paired with beer, wine or any other fancy beverage. This Reno restaurant does not disappoint.
October 8th was the most recent beer dinner, expertly paired alongside Samuel Adams beer. In attendance was a representative from the brewery who discussed the different beers (seven beers in total) and the history of the brewery. Beers included the Samuel Adams Boston Lager, a Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat, Samuel Adams Downtime Pilsner, Samuel Adams Octoberfest, the Thirteenth Hour Stout, the Angry Orchard Cinnful Cider and the Pumpkin Batch Pumpkin Ale.
But, let’s get to the food!
Reception began with some amazing appetizers such as Hamachi tuna BBQ skewers and miniature bread sticks with truffle butter, prosciutto, garlic, Dijon and herb vinaigrette for dipping. The next course dished up a Steakhouse lobster roll served with lemon aioli and a brioche bun. Yum! Next the chefs served Little Wiener Schnitzels with a poached farm egg, Asian salad and pickled red onions. The chef’s entrée of crown roast of Berkshire pork with rosemary and lemon was heavenly! The meal wrapped up with not one, but two separate desserts! One was a poached pear Roquefort and the second was an apple strudel served with ice cream and Slivovitz.
I left feeling full and satisfied. The food was tasty, the service amazing and the ambiance was elegant, but not stuffy. The Steakhouse at Circus will always be on my mind when planning a nice dinner, and even more so when I can look forward to specialty dinners! This is a fantastic Reno restaurant, and a perfect plan of things to do in Reno!
There is one coming up December 4th with Tamber Bey Vineyards!
